Piotr Zwiernik

Piotr Zwiernik is Assistant Professor at UPF and affiliated professor of the BSE. Prior to this he completed his Marie Skłodowska-Curie International Research Fellowship in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Genoa and the Department of Statistics at University of California Berkeley.

Professor Zwiernik works on mathematical aspects of statistical models. His main research interests are: high-dimensional covariance matrix estimation, graphical models, convex optimization, combinatorial and geometric methods in statistics.

He is Associate Editor of Biometrika, the Scandinavian Journal of Statistics, and Algebraic Statistics.
